I was researching something when I stumbled across this blog and 2 guys discussing this past January's Polar Bear Run.  One of them did the 1/1/2016 run, also.

You can listen to their Miata/Fiata Talk blog here:  http://myroadtrip.net/tag/lvmoc/

The talk about the drive for about the 1st 25 minutes, with a few digressions.  After about 25 minutes they go onto other subjects.

Scroll down and you'll see a whole lot of pictures from the drive

Intersting find, Dave...  I remember Russ and Chris.  Russ really did try to maintain a low profile, but I managed to corral him and get his signature on our sign-in sheet (Liability issues, of course).  Russ also posted some comments, similar to those on the blog, on Miata.net after the drive (under TrueBlueFlyer).  They did seem to have a good time (at least, that's what they told me), and it was nice to hear their compliments about our drive organization in their blog.  I can understand their displeasure with the road cinders, but, hey, just drop back a bit farther from the preceding car Wink.  And, they don't have stop signs in New Jersey???  Seriously, from the blog I can tell that they're true "car guys", and they seem to travel to a lot of events.  I hope they join us again on 1/1/18!

The difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't know, and I don't care!

I could say the same thing about the other two Miata clubs of which I'm a member.  Lots of "older folks."
