Formally announcing Miatas in the Mountains of Central PA, Sunday, September 11th, 2005.

Sunday, September 11th, 2005 (Rain Date: TBD)
Please be at the lot by 10:00am
Ride leaves the lot at 10:30 sharp.
Ride ends at 2:20ish pm.

Begin at Sears/Columbia Mall, Exit 232 of Rte 80 in Bloomsburg, PA
Gas Stations and Fast Food located all around the starting point.
Bring a full tank of gas, empty bladder, packed lunch concession stand with food is available - but slow, drinks.
End will be across the highway from the Mall at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant

Ride will take us up Rickets Glen, through Worlds End State Park with a lunch stop at the park, through Montour Preserve with photo opportunities, and back to Columbia county.

The ride is approximately 122 miles round trip.

Getting to Bloomsburg PA is a breeze from the LV. Head up route 61 off of 78 and keep going. Take 42 straight into Bloomsburg. Continue on 42 through the RT 11 interchange toward the town of Buchorn. Mall will be on your right as you pass RT 80. Or, if you want highway. Find your way to RT 80 and take the 232 Exit. From the LV the drive is about 1.5-2 hours.

Here are some dates according to my calendar and the LVMOC Calendar.

September 10 or 11th

I'd also add Labor Day Saturday -- but that is when a lot of folks head out for family things. My August is pretty booked at this point.

How does that sound? I flexible. Just need some time to organize.

Please don't schedule it for Sept. 17 - that's the probable date of the Eastern Wine Trail TSD Rally. I haven't confirmed it yet 'cause I still need to check back with one of the wineries.

Sounds like a great area for a foliage run..Some Sunday in the Fall? I bet it's beatiful out there in the fall. Sundays are good for us.
